Is It Good to Have an Enterprise Application Running in the Cloud?

Cloud computing is growing rapidly and people are using it daily. In the last couple of years, all organizations, from small-scale startups to tech giants, have used cloud computing.

However, the transformation of cloud computing has raised many eyebrows, especially in the aspect of security and data management. So most of the clients ask this question, Is it worth starting a business on the cloud platform?

Let’s just go through some advantages of cloud applications.
  • Enhanced development and faster deployment.
  • Companies can expand anytime, anywhere
  • Easy to install, easy to operate and no administration required.
  • Affordable sustainability: you need to pay for the used space only.

Service providers resolve queries related to security and development that eventually provide more time to build the product itself.

No doubt, there are some serious queries related to security. Many people are still confused about whether to use cloud applications or cloud platforms, One of the major jobs of cloud service providers is to protect our data from threats while also providing storage.

Cloud providers currently

There are three popular giant cloud providers: AWS (Amazon), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Moreover, our favorite cloud provider is built on AWS and offers extra features. Is Heroku, which is less popular, although big companies run their applications on this platform.

Some features are the same on all the cloud platforms, I have jotted down some of those features: S3 storage, Google Vision image analysis, big data functions, and databases.

AWS

Amazon started Amazon Web Services in 2006. Not like other cloud providers, Amazon charges money for the service based on usage. Although, the usage metrics vary according to service usage.

In the year 2018, AWS generated half of the total revenue of Amazon, which itself explains the usage and size of the platform.

Amazon is one of the richest companies in the world; therefore, they like to spend money on data centers to stay ahead of their competitors and generate huge ROI. That’s the reason Amazon is the leading cloud service provider across the globe today.

Google Cloud

Google Cloud is as popular as AWS; people trust the giant Google. Google Cloud offers some advanced-level features and some of the same features as AWS, as big companies copy each other’s platform’s features.

According to experts, big tech service providers differ only in pricing. AWS is the most expensive, followed by Google and Azure.

Azure

Azure, Microsoft’s product, consumes 15% of the market share. Azure is the 2nd most used cloud provider among users. Although it works in 30 different regions of the world, it is more credible than Google Cloud or AWS. Most large companies choose Azure over Google Cloud or Azure.

Microsoft Azure is an open-source technology. The cloud provider is ideal for a company that looks for a full-featured platform service that works great on scalability, usage-based. It is an optimal choice of features, like an infrastructure service.

In this case, a cloud-based virtual machine runs on the SQL service, which makes it an optimal choice if you don’t want to develop a new cloud-based application, but are looking to add features to your existing solutions in the cloud.

Heroku

We recommend the company use this cloud service. The platform offers the resources of AWS and CI + deployment interface.

Why do we recommend this? Because the entire platform comes with automated proofs, there is no need for manual administration. Along with this, they solve security-related issues.

The cloud service providers offer an enhanced environment, that resolves queries or fix issues with a few clicks. Businesses can protect their important data and operational risks. Big tech companies run their major applications on this platform, but the platform isn’t popular in the USA.

The cloud is the future!

It is a fact that, with the upcoming features, companies will like to access their data remotely. Companies will invent products that are integrated with innovative UX/UI.

Moreover, companies will store the user’s data on the cloud platform for their business so they can access the data anytime, anywhere, through any smart device.

With the emergence of technologies like AI and IoT, the demand for cloud providers is also increasing. The future of cloud platforms is bright. Most of them are advanced, simple, faster, and offer affordable solutions.
